Inspired by the cardamom infused Indian & Arabic treats I grew up indulging in, my ice creams are a novelty take on traditional ethnic flavors from these two cultures, using locally sourced ingredients from my current home state of NC. Coming from a country where expats outnumber locals, I represent multicultural diversity. My home,The Emirates, and my parents’ home state in India, Kerala, are my heritage and my inspirations! Diversity is what defines me and my heritage, therefore I found home in the US, a country that I grew to love passionately after moving here for college. From my trials and tribulations as a woman, a wife, a daughter, a friend and a mother, arose these inspirations, as a creative outlet to express myself. Elaka Treats
